About olBi India

olBi India is led by co-founder Dr. Marcus Devasahayam, the District Superintendent for Gujarat, India and Rajnish Jacob the District Superintendent for Rajasthan, India. Both of these leaders have personal experience raising up leaders among illiterate oral learners. Although the published literacy rate for their states are 79% and 64%, there are significant communities where the literacy competency would not allow the individual to attend Bible College which requires a student to have passed their grade 10 exams.

olBi India is not meant to replace literacy or a Bible College education. Rather, olBi is meant to be a bridge for the illiterate to be trained to plant and pastor churches within their communities. It is hoped that they will continue their education.
